Description
The Design Engineer in this position will be responsible for all phases of the civil engineering design process (i.e. preliminary studies and reports; schematic design; preliminary design; final design; bidding; and construction administration) for large diameter water transmission mains and wastewater interceptors.
Primary Responsibilities
» Provide expertise in water and wastewater distribution and conveyance systems including hydraulic modeling, plan and specification preparation, and construction methodologies
» Lead a design team
» Coach, mentor and develop E.I.T.s and technical staff
Minimum Qualifications
» Minimum of 5 years of direct design experience
» Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal infrastructure projects
» Knowledge of State and Regional design criteria
» Highly technical design skills
» Knowledge of associated design criteria
» Experience providing construction management for municipal public works projects
» If licensed, a Texas PE license is required or ability to obtain in six months
